1. Information We Collect

RunMate collects information you provide directly — including your name, email address, and profile photo when you register. During races, we collect real-time GPS location data to enable live tracking and off-track detection. We also collect usage data such as race history, distances, pace records, and device identifiers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to operate and improve the RunMate platform, including displaying your position on live race maps, calculating leaderboard rankings, sending event notifications, and personalising your running progress and achievement history. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Location Data

GPS tracking is active only during registered race events when you explicitly start a run. Location data is shared with race organisers and other participants in the same event. You can disable location access in your device settings at any time, though this will prevent live tracking features from functioning.

4. Data Sharing

Your data may be shared with race organisers who use the RunMate platform to manage events. We may share anonymised, aggregated data for analytics purposes. We do not share personally identifiable information with advertisers.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS) and secure cloud storage. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. Race results may be retained in anonymised form for historical records.

7. Children's Privacy

RunMate is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via push notification or email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the RunMate application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the app. RunMate is operated by XoR Geek in partnership with Nymph Solutions Ltd.

2. Use of the Service

RunMate is a marathon tracking and running community platform. You may use the service to create and participate in running events, track your GPS position during races, view leaderboards, and connect with other runners. You must be at least 13 years old to use the service.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information and to update it as necessary. You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Race Participation & Safety

Participation in running events is entirely at your own risk. RunMate provides tracking and community tools but is not responsible for your physical safety during races. Always ensure you are medically fit to participate. Obey all traffic laws and race regulations. The off-track detection feature is a guide only and should not replace your own judgement.

5. Organiser Responsibilities

Event organisers using RunMate are solely responsible for the safe management of their events, including obtaining necessary permits, ensuring participant safety, and complying with local regulations. RunMate provides the technology platform only.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You may not use RunMate to: cheat in races by falsifying GPS data; harass, abuse, or harm other users; upload unlawful, offensive, or misleading content; attempt to reverse-engineer or interfere with the platform; or violate any applicable laws.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, logos, and software within RunMate are the property of XoR Geek and Nymph Solutions Ltd. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the platform without prior written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

RunMate is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, XoR Geek and Nymph Solutions Ltd. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these terms. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation or, if necessary, through the appropriate courts of Bangladesh.
